We had one of those sudden afternoon storms and I still had a pretty long walk from the parking garage to my office. I put these on over my sneakers and they did exactly what I needed. My shoes stayed dry and I did not have wet socks for the rest of the day.

Overall I like them. The tall part is what sold me because most of the splash hits the bottom of my jeans. They fit fine over my regular sneakers, but with my chunkier walking shoes it takes a little more effort to get them on.

I had short shoe covers before and they were basically useless once water started splashing above my ankles. These come up much higher and cover the bottom of my pants too. I use them for walking around our property after rain.

I bought them as a backup and leave them in the trunk. I have used them a few times already when the weather changed unexpectedly. They are not something I wear all day, but for getting through rain and wet parking lots they work well.
